I’m very sorry, because I have not posted anything new on the blog for a while. It was very ugly in Bucharest these days, and I had no mood to take pictures. Imi pare foarte rau ca nu am mai postat nimic nou pe blog de ceva timp. A fost foarte urat in Bucuresti, si nu am avut chef sa fac poze. Dar, primavara este f aproape, si va promit ca o sa fac poze in fiecare zi! Astazi o sa va arat cateva din noile mele achizitii, sper sa va placa! Va multumesc pentru comentarii!!

Staring out in photography can be somewhat exciting. Many people have already used cameras, whether on holiday, or at a party, as a child, or as an adult. They are not unfamiliar as far as technology goes, and for this reason it’s easy to assume that photography is something you can just “do”.

And while technically you can “do” photography, you can also paint – but it doesn’t mean that you’re going to be any good at it. Photography takes a lifetime, if not longer, to master, and there’s always some new direction some new technique, lens or other aspect of photography to get to grips with as you continue your journey through the world with a means of snapping photos to hand.

But what should you do to help yourself into learning photography? Take photographs. This is the one thing you’ll need to do more than anything else, and it’s because it’s like any other discipline – you’ll only improve at it as you do more of it. Whether you’re shooting at the zoo or you’re snapping shots of your friend’s FoxyBingo winner’s night out, you need to practise all the time.

You also need feedback, research, and a willingness to learn, so it’s not too difficult to imagine why joining a photography site like Flicr, with a vibrant and engaged community of photographers, could really benefit you. It also enables you to have an ongoing portfolio of your work, which can be handy if you want something to send someone you’d like to do some work for.

Fashion photography is just one of many disciplines, and like all of them, requires specialist knowledge of what works and what doesn’t within that particular field. But learn as much as you can and shoot as often as you can, and you’ll soon find that photography may be an ongoing learning experience, but it’s also the best career course you’ll ever have.
